Hsiang Chin Moe is an artist and a curator living and working in New York City. She is motivated to tell stories, to reveal details of lives, niches of human activity. She uses the best medium to convey the message. Sometimes it is video, other times it is photography or sound or programming. Often she uses elements of all or some.

Her family is transplanted from China via Vietnam to Taiwan. She was raised in Bali, Japan and Taiwan. At the earliest opportunity of her adult life, she moved to the United States. She is interested in people who have migrated. The act of moving and settling. The stories that result.

She is intrigued by the ways that machines, cameras, electronic signals, wires and code can tell stories, convey complicated human emotions. The ability of metal, plastic and glass to facilitate the expression of her thoughts.
